Summers Nurseries

Staff are highly valued within our nurseries. It is in the interest of our nurseries that each member of staff be given the opportunity to develop their personal skills to their best, and broaden their knowledge in caring for the children which will promote a positive learning culture.

It is also a requirment for staff to register with the Scottish Social Services Council and undertake relevant training to maintain and improve their knowlwedge and skills, and contribute to the learning and development of others.

It is the responsibility of all staff to maintain and update their own Continual Professional Development files.

All registered staff are required to undertake 60 hours over a five year period.

The nursery will offer core training opportunities that may be held within the nursery by external training companies.

Staff will be expected to apply for training using external companies through Aberdeen City/Aberdeenshire Council.
