Meet the Manager

Claire Drennan is the Nursery Manager at Victoria Street.

My name is Claire Drennan. I am the Nursery Manager at our Victoria Street branch in Aberdeen. I started working for Summers Nursery in July 2007.

I have completed my SVQ level 4 and a BA in Childhood Practices at The University of Aberdeen I am currently studing for a Masters in Early Years.

I enjoy working at the nursery as I get to meet lots of new children and families, and form many relationships with a wide variety of people.

I also have the pleasure of being the Operations Director of the company which allows me to regularly visit the other nurseries giving advice and help to the Managers.

Meet the Manager

Hi, my name is Erin, I am the Manager at St Swithin Street - I have worked with Summers for the past 5 years and love it! I really enjoy working alongside families to achieve the best outcomes for each individual child and family. I particularly love outdoor play and learning outdoors. The best part about my job is seeing the children grow and develop their personalities as they progress throughout the nursery.

Emma Johnstone is our Assistant Manager who has worked with Summers for 10 years.


Erin's qualifications include:

  • NC and HNC in Childcare and Education
  • Almost completed my BA in Childhood Practice

Staff Leaders

  • Our 0-2 room is led by Shannon Gallacher
  • Our 2-3 room is led by Emma Johstone who is also our Assistant Manager
  • Our 3-5 room is led by Karina Stebnovska

All the team at St Swithin Street take great delight in organising outings, charity events and sports days and pride themselves as being very much part of the local St Swithin Street community.
