Meet the Manager

Shannon Gallacher is our Acting Manager while Lauren Donald is on Maternity Leave.

Hi I'm Shannon, I left school and completed an apprenticeship while working in a nursery gaining experience. I have worked in childcare since. I joined Summers Nurseries in 2018, previously working in two of our sister nurseries in Aberdeen (Victoria Street and St Swithin Street). Over the years I have held a variety of progressively more senior roles within the company.

Shannon's qualifications include:

• Social Services Children and Young People Level 7

Hi I'm Lauren, I took up post as Nursery Manager here at Wee Rascals Too on 8th January 2024 when I finished Maternity Cover for Suzanne Stephen who manages our Inverurie Nursery.

I joined Summers Inverurie when I left school and have held a variety of progressively more senior roles, including 3-5 Years Room Leader overseeing provision of the Curriculum for Excellence.

I am looking to start my Personal Development Award Childhood Practice and out-with work I enjoy spending time with my son and sausage dog.

Lauren's qualifications include:

• Starting PDA Childhood Practice
• Social Services Children and Young People Level 9
• Social Services Children and Young People Level 7

• Our 2-5 Years Room is led by Sarah Shanks who is supported by Karen Genther our Assistant Room Leader
